Almaguin District Snowmobile Club

The Almaguin District Snowmobile Club (ADSC) is located in the most southernly part of District 11 territory, known as the Almaguin Highlands. The club was formed in the early 70’s and was incorporated in 1984. The club area is east of South River, and includes Burks Falls, Sand Lake and Kearney.

We have about 1200 permit buyers with the majority being from Southern Ontario including Toronto, Pickering, London, and the Niagara area as well as some members from the U.S.A. ADSC has just over 175 kilometers of trails, which we groom with our two Prinoth Husky’s.

Our AL301 trail on the borders of Algonquin Park, is a popular destination for touring riders to view the ice caves on the East side of Sand Lake. The ice formations offer an opportunity to explore this natural phenomena with cave formations changing from year to year in size and shape! Don’t miss this photo op on your next trip.

The Top D trail through Almaguin is part of the North West leg of Ontario’s premier snowmobile tour, the Ride-Around-Algonquin-Park. A favourite among touring riders, the ride known as the R.A.P. Tour, leads sledders on an 3-5 day adventure around Algonquin Provincial Park. Passing through OFSC Districts 6, 7 and 11 riders are sure to enjoy the varied terrain, sites and lookouts, as well as enjoy the hospitality of local restaurants and accommodations along the way.
